The fifth edition of the national bike festival CYCLE WEEK once again attracted thousands of visitors despite the mixed weather. OC President Erwin Flury says: “Once again, we felt the importance of the bicycle for many people, whether in their leisure time or in everyday life. We are delighted to be able to make a contribution to this development with the CYCLE WEEK.”

Diverse program for all cycling enthusiasts
There was a festival atmosphere at the CYCLE WEEK! Bike fans and passers-by alike were enthralled by the shows and the relaxed atmosphere delighted young and old alike. With its proximity to the train station and the new city tunnel, which was also used as a test track, Europaallee proved to be the ideal location in the heart of the city. The organizers created ideal testing facilities for sporty bikes in Brunau. Innovations presented for the first time at the CYCLE WEEK attracted particular attention. Tourist destinations and bike-related services complemented the wide range of products on offer.

The CYCLE WEEK presented itself as a showcase for the bicycle industry with over 120 exhibitors. The public was able to discover and test new products from the world of cycling. Thousands of test rides confirmed the public's interest in sporty and urban bikes. The focus was on the 150 workshops, riding technique courses and social rides, most of which were fully booked. 1500 bike fans enthusiastically took part in the opening of the city tunnel. The crowds of interested visitors were large and the response from athletes and exhibitors was consistently positive.

International favorites prevail
At the ZüriDirt Contest, the only international dirt jump contest in Switzerland, Natalia Niedzwiedz from Poland won the women's competition and Tom Isted from England won the men's competition. In the international BMX Flatland Contest on Saturday evening, favorite Kio Hayakawa from Japan won ahead of Alex Jumelin from France. The show battles “Red Bull Dance your Style vs. BMX Flatland” and artistic cycling thrilled the audience. Street trial athletes Raphael Dähler and Marvin Jäger, together with unicycle athlete Mimo Seedler and trial athlete Shirin Sieber, fascinated the Europaplatz - especially the young audience. 100 adventure-seekers tackled the “Züri Escape” bikepacking event over 420 kilometers with 10,000 meters of altitude. Marc Büchel was the fastest in 24 hours and 31 minutes. The fastest woman was Cornelia Hug with 28 hours and 14 minutes.

Positive results
The organizers have drawn an extremely positive balance. There were no incidents on any of the four days. The varied program, the high number of visitors and the smooth implementation underline the success of CYCLE WEEK 2025. The combination of innovation, sport, culture and community makes the festival a unique experience for all bike fans.
