Flexible thinking - new solutions for transporting bikes by train

What should a train compartment look like in the future? In this pilot project, one will be presented and you can actively contribute your ideas and wishes for bike transportation.

Visit and demonstration of the pilot vehicle of Schweizerische Südostbahn AG

Whether for commuters or passengers with bicycles and luggage: Schweizerische Südostbahn AG (SOB) wants to make trains more flexible for customers to use. In a pilot project, configurable compartments are being tested in an SOB Flirt train to quickly turn seats into luggage areas.

The compartments are to be tested and further developed together with the passengers. During the guided tour, you will visit a pilot compartment together and can test the functions. Actively contribute your experiences and ideas to shape the future of bike transportation on trains.

From 16 years or accompanied by parents. Suitable for everyone, no previous knowledge or equipment is required.
You are welcome to bring your own bike to test the various functions and space conditions.
