Interantional athletes like last year's second-placed American Terry Adams compete at the International BMX Flatland Contest on the show stage at Gustav-Gull-Platz. Flatland is a discipline of freestyle BMX sport in which athletes demonstrate acrobatics on a bike on flat ground. Flatland includes different maneuvers or tricks that can be combined into endless combinations (combos). The transition between the individual figures takes place smoothly. Most BMX flatlanders create their own tricks, combinations and individual style.
This year the Cycle Week are waiting with a special show contest: One week before the Swiss final of the most prestigious 1-on-1 Breaking Battle Red Bull BC One Cypher Switzerland takes place in Zurich the Breakers have challenged the BMX Flatlanders with a "call out" to the battle. Whether the Breakers with Top Rocks, Footwork, blatant Freezes or high flying Powermoves win the heart of the audience or the two-wheel artists with their tricks such as Time Machine, Steamroller and Cliffhänger in combos of Zeiradkünstler?
Who wants to see more of the B-Girls and B-Boys, go to Hall 622 Zurich on May 20. There it will be decided which B-Girl and B-Boy will be allowed to travel to the World Final in Paris. More
