Caro and Anita - the Gehrig Twins
Double trouble or double fun - no matter how you look at it, the Gehrig Twins stand for adventure. Caro and Anita, the Swiss MTB duo, are known as icons of mountain bike enduro sports, but also for their penchant for mountain bike lifestyle and their love of the mountains. Since last summer, the two have closed the chapter World Cup Racing and have ventured into the future with the Flem Mountain Lodge. There they combine their passion for biking, hospitality and coffee and offer their guests everything it takes for an active and relaxing stay. In addition, the two have been offering women's bike camps for years and are a central part of promoting and growing precisely this community in Switzerland.
The two came to bikepacking when it became too boring for them to ride the same routes every year in Gran Canaria, in the road bike training camp. Without further ado, they decided to ride across Spain to Barcelona during their vacations in Portugal. The perfect combination of training and adventure. Since the two also like to spend their vacations on the bike, many long and adventurous trips have been added over the years.
