The expansion to Lausanne is a significant milestone in the development of CYCLE WEEK. Since its launch, the event has established itself as a national platform for the entire cycling world - from everyday mobility, leisure and tourism to sport, innovation and urban cycling culture.
With Lausanne, the successful concept will now also be anchored in French-speaking Switzerland. The city offers ideal conditions: a first-class event site in Ouchy directly on the lake, a dynamic cycling scene, an annual increase in bicycle use, a solid sports and event culture and a strong policy to promote cycling in urban areas with more than 135 km of cycle paths.
The CYCLE WEEK takes into account the increasing importance of sustainable and active mobility. At the same time, it meets the need for networking experience formats that bring different people and interest groups together. The varied program with shows, contests, expo, workshops and joint rides creates meeting spaces for families, leisure riders, sports enthusiasts, commuters and industry players.
With its new focus, CYCLE WEEK is strengthening its role as a national cycling festival and building a new bridge between French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland.
