National Velo Festival exceeds all expectations

15.05.2022

The CYCLE WEEK was a great success. From May 12 to 15, 2022, 75,000 visitors, cyclists, athletes and fans, the cycling and tourism industry and politicians met in the heart of Zurich for the country's largest cycling festival in gorgeous early summer weather.

From May 12 to 15, the national bicycle festival CYCLE WEEK presented the versatility of the bicycle in all its facets. Thousands of people interested in bicycles met at the main station in Zurich to kick off the bicycle season. They discovered 250 brands from the world of bicycles at 115 exhibitors. 75'000 people visited the CYCLE WEEK during the four days, 1000 actively participated in 100 workshops. OC president Erwin Flury says: "We are totally happy. CYCLE WEEK has developed exactly as we had hoped. I saw only beaming faces among the visitors." For the large, public spectacle, the city of Zurich makes the triangle Europaallee - Lagerstrasse - Kasernenstrasse and the Brunau available to the organizers. The CYCLE WEEK went off without a hitch. The organizers would like to thank the presenting sponsor Zurich Insurance, the main sponsors City of Zurich and Mastercard and the sponsors Focus Water, Ochsner Sport, Publibike, Graubünden and Bike Kingdom Lenzerheide for their great support.
